Ariadna cephalotes is similar to A. boliviana due to the morphology of the male metatarsi I, with short ventro-prolateral macrosetae (Figs 34C‒E, 36C‒E), and tibiae I‒II macrosetae pattern of females, but differ by the male palp with short embolus with a basal anterior keel (Fig. 35A‒B); females differ by the presence of an anterior receptaculum with the dorsal lobe with enlarged tip, and ventral lobe depressed ventrally (Fig. 35C‒D). Note. Although Grismado's drawing (2008: figs 8J‒K) show the dorsal lobe with a less enlarged tip that the specimen we present in this study (Figs 35C‒D), both specimens present the ventral lobe depressed ventrally.
