Honshu, Japan (Shinohara et al. 1996, Mecklenburg et al. 2002), to northern California (41°20’N, 144°10’W) (Pietsch 1974), and perhaps to southern California (32°00’N, 118°20’W) (NWFSC-FRAM), but without documentation.
