Summary:* Euprotomicrus bispinatus (Quoy & Gaimard, 1824). Pygmy Shark . To 30.5 cm (12 in) TL (Miller and Lea 1972). Circumglobal; a few caught about 500 miles off central and southern California (Personal communication: Los Angeles County Museum of Natural History Fish Collection, Los Angeles, California; Ebert 2003); Chile and Peru (Ebert 2016), and Easter Island (Pequeño 1989). Depth: surface (at night) to at least 1,500 m (4,920 ft) (Ebert et al. 2013).
