Cosmopolitan in tropical and subtropical water, including the Mediterranean Sea (Vinogradov et al . 1996). In the eastern Pacific it ranges from the west coast of the Baja California Peninsula (north to 27°38’14”N) to Michoacán, including the Gulf of California, Mexico, and off Panama and Ecuador (García Madrigal 2007, Guillén Pozo, 2007, Valencia et al . 2013). Remarks .
