Summary:Macrostylis scotti n. sp. (Figs 2–10) urn:lsid:zoobank.org:act:8EBFDE96-E5CB-4D62-A56D-8E23B910EDC7 Etymology. The name “s cotti” is dedicated to the British explorer Robert Falcon Scott CVO, in order to mark the 100th anniversary of his heroic trial to be the first person to reach the geographic South Pole. He reached the pole second, after Roald Amundsen, and died on this ill-fated Terra Nova Expedition around the 29th March 1912. Type fixation. Holotype (Figs 2, 3): adult male, 5.4 mm, ZMH K-42990, designated here. Type material examined. Holotype: adult male, 5.4 mm, ZMH K-42990, used for the illustration of the habitus and DNA studies.
