Eastern Atlantic, from the southwestern Ireland to Portugal and western Mediterranean Sea. Vulnerability: DD (IUCN), LV (FishBase). Cataetyx laticeps Koefoed, 1927 —No common name 2 specimens of 72 and 82 cm TL were caught at depths of 1,683 and 1,685 m respectively. Habitat and Distribution: bathydemersal or benthopelagic at depth range 500–2,830. North Atlantic Ocean and the Mediterranean Sea.
