Summary:Bombus lapidarius decipiens Pérez, 1890 This western Mediterranean subspecies is less demanding than the nominal one, but it has been assessed as Vulnerable in the Red Book of Andalusian Invertebrates (Ornosa & Ortiz-Sánchez 2008). At present, it has been collected in the Pyrenees between 1125 and 2500 m (Fig. 7) in forestal and supraforestal temperate-oceanic grassland on Carduus acanthoides L., Centaurea scabiosa L., Cirsium acaule (L.) Scop., Cirsium arvense (L.) Scop., Cirsium monspessulanum (L.) Hill, Echium vulgare L., Eryngium bourgatii Gouan., Lathyrus pratensis L., Lotus corniculatus L., Malva sylvestris L., Medicago sativa L., Mentha longifolia (L.) Hud., Origanum vulgare L., Reseda lutea L., Silene acaulis (L.) Jacq., Trifolium pratense L., Trifolium repens L., Vaccinium myrtillus L. and Viola odorata L. According to the current data, this species exhibits greater orophilous tendency (Fig. 7), but it is not regarded as being threatened in the Pyrenees (Table 2). New records.
