Summary:Myoxocephalus scorpiu s (Linnaeus, 1758). Shorthorn Sculpin or Warty Sculpin. To at least 60 cm (18.3 in) TL (Eriksen et al. 2020) or, but without documention, to 90 cm (35.4 in) TL (Coad and Reist 2004). Circumpolar; Laptev Sea to East Siberian, Chukchi, and Beaufort Seas to Greenland, and northern North Atlantic, and Arctic seas of Europe; Sea of Okhotsk off south-western Kamchatka, Commander, and Aleutian Islands to Bering Sea, and northern British Columbia (Mecklenburg et al. 2016). Benthic; depth: intertidal (McAllister 1975), adults as shallow as 3 m (10 ft) or less (Ennis 1970) to 550 m (1,804 ft) (Mecklenburg et al. 2018). All information other than maximum length and maximum depth from Mecklenburg et al. (2002).
