Northern Sea of Japan, Sea of Okhotsk, Kuril Islands to Commander–Aleutian Chain, to northern Chukchi Sea (as far north as 71°30’N, 167°06’W) (Mecklenburg et al. 2016), eastern Bering Sea (Lauth and Nichol 2013); two records from Prince William Sound, Gulf of Alaska (Johnson et al. 2012).
