Indian populations must be studied in detail for confirmation of their status. Distribution. Keeping in mind that in the Americas the genus is represented by a series of species (Rowe et al. 2007), we can assume that H. gibberum s. lat. in Eurasia is probably also complex of cryptic species with unknown areas of distribution.
