Acontiostoma pepinii Stebbing, 1888, original designation. Diagnosis. Head partially concealed by coxa 1. Maxilla 1 palp article 1 slender, tapering distally. Maxilliped basis (inner plate) not greatly enlarged; outer plate distomedial margin smooth. Body pereon and pleon without dorsal projections. Uropod 3 uniramous. Telson hemiacetabulate. Included species . Stomacontion acutibasalis (Bellan-Santini & Ledoyer, 1974); S. bulbus Rauschert, 1997; S. insigne K.H. Barnard, 1932; S. pepinii (Stebbing, 1888). Remarks. Lowry & Stoddart (1983) described and illustrated the maxilla 1 palp of Stomacontion pepinii as 2-articulate.
