Description
Summary:Mesochra lilljeborgii (Boeck 1865) References and records from Norway Mesochra Liljeborgii mihi – Boeck (1865): 275 – 276, type locality – Oslofjord, Norway. Mesochra Lilljeborgi , (Boeck 1865) – Sars (1911): 208 – 209. Canthocamptus Strømii Lilljeborg, 1853 – Sars (1863 b): 53 – 54. Sars found M. lilljeborgii close to the beach, in brackish water and tidal pools of the South and West coasts of Norway. Sars (1911) mentioned that this species was scarcely ever found in purely freshwater habitats, and he gave no clear hints of whether or, eventually, where it was found in fresh waters in Norway. In another of Sars ’ s sources this species was mentioned from rock pools in Western Norway and Oslofjord (Sars 1863 b), and it was also found in Lake Horvereidvatnet (Mulstadvatnet), Middle Norway. The latter is influenced by sea water (see Table 1, Supplementary material 1, for archive item Ms. Fol. 1009: 468, no. 58). Also, other species found here are of marine origin. There is archive material with reference to Northern Norway (see Table 1, Supplementary material 1, for archive item Ms. Fol. 1009: 468, no. 58). Boeck (1865) reported it from Oslofjord. : Published as part of Dimante-Deimantovica, I., Jensen, T.
