Material examined. Stn 8, few stems up to 20 mm high on Schizotricha turqueti (MNCN 2.03/635); Stn 25, numerous stems up to 80 mm high on tube of polychaete, with gonothecae (NIWA 117574); Stn 130, stem fragment 25 mm long (NIWA 117575); Stn 205, colony with six stems up to 19 mm high on stem of unidentifiable hydroid growing on pebbles (NIWA 117576); Stn 206, colony with nine stems up to 20 mm high on axis of dead gorgonian (MNCN 2.03/636). Ecology and distribution. Eurybathic species (Peña Cantero 2010a), collected at depths from 49 (Peña Cantero 2008) to 2043 m (Peña Cantero 2012); present material between 110 and 1014 m, epibiotic on tube of polychaete, axis of dead gorgonian and Schizotricha turqueti, and with gonothecae in February.
