Summary: | Scripts and routines used in Tian et al (2020) in GMD Discussion on Benefits of sea ice thickness initialization for the Arctic decadal climate prediction skill in EC-Earth3. Scripts used to generate figures; Routines for sea ice initialization to LIM3. Routines include 1) one python script on how to convert one-category sea ice concentration to 5-category by MPK; 2) two python scripts on how to convert one-category sea ice thickness/snow thickness to 5-category by TT; 3) one program in Fortran 90 by FM to check if a LIM3 restart is physically consistent and adjust sea surface temperature and salinity in the ocean restart fields to changes in sea ice. The code is heavily based on limupdate.F90 from LIM3 and adopted to the ocean model restart fields from NEMO3.6. |
