Summary:Niphargus spasenijae Karaman G.S., 2015 Published records: Karaman G.S. (2015). Distribution: Endemic to Greece: Thasos Island (TH). Type material: Holotype : female 7, S–7381= anchialine cave in Atspas near seashore, Skala Marion, Island Thasos, Aegean Sea, 3 exp., 24.08.2015 (leg. I. Karaman), mm Karaman G.S. (2015). Paratype: male 6.1 mm, data same as for holotype, Karaman G.S. (2015). Holotype and paratypes are deposited in KCPM. Remarks: This species was described in 2015 by Karaman G.S. and is the only known Niphargus from Thasos Island, in the northern Aegean Sea. Its ecology is yet unknown.
