Vespa suprunenkoi Birula, 1925 (1924): 92. Lectotype female (designated by Kurzenko, 2004: 197); Korea: Sakhalin Is. (ST. PETERSBURG). Distribution . India, Myanmar, Thailand, Laos, China, Russia, Korea. Discussion . This is a high altitude species, found between 200 m and 2,000 m (Archer 1999).
