Summary:Remaster palmatus (Perrier 1881) Figure 20A This and other observations of this species during EX 1905L2 represent the first known in situ observations of this species. Observations herein show individuals hunched over sponge-covered substratum suggesting that they are almost certainly a food source. Remaster palmatus is one of two species within the genus Remaster , the other species, Remaster gourdoni Koehler 1912 is known primarily from the Antarctic. The Korethrasteridae are members of the Velatida, which includes the Myxasteridae and the Pterasteridae.
