Summary:Hydrochara obtusata (Say, 1823) Prince Edward Island: locality data lost, 1974-1983, (2, UPEI); Prince Co.: Conway Narrows, 23.VIII.1970, U. Grigg, (1, NSMC); Queens Co.: Charlottetown, 1952, F.M. Cannon, (1, ACPE). Newly recorded on Prince Edward Island, this species is found in a wide range of aquatic habitats, particularly in shallow water with rich vegetation.
