Description
Summary:Mimonecteola diomedeae Woltereck, 1909 Southeast Pacific: 1099843 , 5/275, [66° 28’S 72°54’W], 1885 m. Remarks : There is some doubt regarding the status of this species (Zeidler 2009) but it has been recorded from the tropical regions of the Pacific and Indian Oceans. Zeidler and De Broyer (2009) indicated that this species might occur in the Southern Ocean with the most southerly record being from the south-west Pacific (41°21’S 158°W) (Vinogradov & Semenova 1996). Thus, the above is a new record for the Antarctic Zone of the Southeast Pacific Sector. : Published as part of Zeidler, Wolfgang, 2019, New and additional records of hyperiidean amphipods of the infraorder Physosomata (Crustacea: Amphipoda: Hyperiidea) from the Antarctic Zone of the Southern Ocean, pp. 510-520 in Zootaxa 4576 (3) on page 515, DOI: 10.11646/zootaxa.4576.3.5, http://zenodo.org/record/3715770 : {"references": ["Zeidler, W. & De Broyer, C.
