Scypholanceola aestiva (Stebbing, 1888) Southwest Atlantic: 1013120 , 22/1584, [56.442°S 35.2°W], 1131–1548 m; 1090225 , 8/593, [55.4°S 25.375°W], 549 m. Southeast Pacific: 1090292 , 5/282, [67°S 75.533°W], 1830 m. Southwest Pacific: 1090260 , 38/8, [54.565°S 150.436°W], 3000 m. Remarks : A relatively uncommon species, but widely distributed in all the world’s oceans except the Mediterranean Sea. It inhabits a wide range of depths (usually> 500 m) but seems to be more common in the 1000– 1500 m layer (Vinogradov et al . 1982 /96). Zeidler and De Broyer (2009) recorded it from the Southwest Pacific and Eastern Indian Ocean Sectors but not the Atlantic.
