Summary:The possibilities, prospects and risks of renewable energy sources (RES) attracting for energy supply during the development of tourism in the Russian Arctic are considered. The problems of the need to expand the energy infrastructure and energy supply options for the regions of the Russian Arctic are described. A SWOT analysis of the prospects for the development of distributed power generation on renewable energy in the Arctic region has been carried out. The types of financial risks that may accrue during the implementation of renewable energy projects in the Arctic are highlighted. The Russian and foreign experience in the use of renewable energy in the Arctic is considered.
