Summary:(Uploaded by Plazi for the Bat Literature Project) The paper gathers up the results of long-time investigations on the small mammals of the Prokopské and Dalejské údolí Nature Park (SW edge of the Prague agglomeration). In all, 28 species have been found, i.e. less than a half of the total number of small mammal species found in the Czech Republic (46%). The habitats under study (shrubby formations bearing the character of forest-steppes, balks, and a brook floodplain) are inhabited by common species, the largest numbers being attained by forms showing less clear-cut habitat requirements (Sorex araneus, Apodemus sylvaticus). It is interesting to note the comparatively high percentage (up to 14.1%) of Crocidura suaveolens found in xerothermic habitats. The most interesting species in faunal respect include Neomys anomalus, Myotis emarginatus, and Pipistrellus nathusii.
