Styloptocuma is characterised by pseudorostral lobes reaching the extremity of the ocular lobe, the ocular lobe without visual elements, and uropods with long peduncles, twice or even longer than pleonite 6. The genus has not previously been recorded from Australia. Key to species of Styloptocuma from Australian waters (females only) 1.
