Description
Summary:The oceanography mast experiment was designed to measure mean and turbulent quantities at multiple levels in the ocean boundary layer beneath the SHEBA ice floe, using instrument clusters comprising mechanical current meters mounted along 3 mutually orthogonal axes, with nearby SBE temperature and conductivity sensors. Measurements were made from 8 Oct 97 to 28 Sep 98, with sizable gaps in February and March due to ice camp breakup and redeployment.
