Summary:The WindSonic SN 12340025 was deployed on 2018-12-07 at Placentia Bay. Placentia Bay is a large, deep bay on the southeast coast of Newfoundland. To the west is the Burin Peninsula while the eastern shore is formed by the Avalon Peninsula. This device is a Wind Monitoring System. Wind monitoring systems measure the speed and direction of wind. It was deployed on a mobile platform. Data from this deployment were archived and made available through Ocean Networks Canada's Oceans 2.0 digital infrastructure, with quality assurance and derived data products following established practices.
