| Summary: | The Garmin 17X GPS was deployed on 2015-08-15 at Placentia Bay. Placentia Bay is a large, deep bay on the southeast coast of Newfoundland. To the west is the Burin Peninsula while the eastern shore is formed by the Avalon Peninsula. This device is a Navigation System. Navigational instruments are used to measure and record positional information of ships, buoys, and autonomous underwater vehicles (AUVs).
