| Summary: | The results of studying the remains of the Oligocene faunas of bivalves from the sedimentary deposits of the Kholmskaya Formation, developed in southwestern Sakhalin, are considered. As part of the fauna of the stratotype suite along the river Pravda the presence of Bivalve mollusks Mya grewingki (Makiyama) was established throughout the section. This circumstance, taking into account the geological age of the taxon, made it possible to confirm the Upper Oligocene age for the strata of the Kholmskaya Formation hosting the fauna. ... |
