Description
Summary:This dataset includes chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from BELGICA, CHARLES DARWIN, DISCOVERY, HEINCKE, MADORNINA, METEOR, PELAGIA, POSEIDON and VALDIVIA in the Bay of Biscay, English Channel, North Atlantic Ocean and North Sea from 1993-04-01 to 1995-11-01 and retrieved during cruise CARINA and OMEX-1. These data include ALKALINITY, AMMONIUM, DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON, DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, PHOSPHATE, Potential temperature (theta), SALINITY, SILICATE, UREA, WATER TEMPERATURE and pH. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD and bottle. These data were collected by Alberto Borges of Université de Liège as part of the CARINA/OMEX1NA (OMEX-1) dataset. The CARINA (CARbon dioxide IN the Atlantic Ocean) data synthesis project is an international collaborative effort of the EU IP CARBOOCEAN, and U.S. partners. It has produced a merged internally consistent dataset of open ocean subsurface measurements for biogeochemical ...
