Description
Summary:This dataset includes chemical, discrete sample, physical and profile data collected from KNORR in the North Atlantic Ocean, South Atlantic Ocean and Southern Oceans (> 60 degrees South) from 1983-10-07 to 1984-02-19. These data include CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-11 (CFC-11), CHLOROFLUOROCARBON-12 (CFC-12), DISSOLVED INORGANIC CARBON (DIC), DISSOLVED OXYGEN, HYDROSTATIC PRESSURE, NITRATE, NITRITE, Partial pressure (or fugacity) of carbon dioxide - water, Potential temperature (theta), RADIUM ISOTOPES, SALINITY, TOTAL ALKALINITY (TA), WATER TEMPERATURE, phosphate and silicate. The instruments used to collect these data include CTD, Coulometer for DIC measurement, Flask with closed headspace for discrete carbon dioxide (CO2) measurement and bottle. These data were collected by Taro Takahashi of Columbia University; Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory as part of the AJAX_1983 Expedition data set. CDIAC associated the following cruise ID(s) with this data set: AJAX_1983 The World Ocean Circulation Experiment (WOCE) was ...
