Die Mutter entfernt nicht spontan gerissene Fruchthüllen, beißt die Nabelschnüre durch und frißt die Nachgeburten. : The film shows the expulsion phase of parturition in the bitch; race Dutch sheep dog. The birth of six pups is contained in the film. The birth takes place in either head or breech presentation. The membranes are torn by the mother they don't rupture spontaneously. She eats the afterbirth. In the case of difficult expulsion she takes an active part in that she pulls the pup out of the vagina. The ypung are detached by means of chewing on the umbilical cord, whereby no bleeding takes place.
