This article considers the problem of self-determination and socialization of representatives of the indigenous peoples of the North. High-quality training of specialists is the key to the successful development of our society. In the professional development of the small peoples of the North, there is an urgent need to preserve traditional labor skills. Improving the efficiency and quality of professional education allows graduates to make the right choice for their future specialty. The introduction of modern technologies in the educational process has a positive impact on the communication skills and adaptation of young graduates. One of the modern innovations is the ArcticSkills project. It contributes to the gradual transition to a new technological structure. Based on this project, a research championship was held. He made it possible to study the possibilities of improving vocational guidance policies and the competence of young professionals. All competencies examined are key factors for effective socialization and professional development. Also, the ArcticSkills process examined the level of self-determination of graduates from northern schools. The championship was attended by over 50 representatives of small indigenous peoples. Each of the participants showed an active position in the desire to become a key unit of the state. The results of the study proved the relevance of ArcticSkills for the peoples of the Far North studying in Russia. : В данной статье рассмотрена проблема самоопределения и социализации представителей коренных народов Севера. Качественная подготовка специалистов является залогом успешного развития нашего общества. В профессиональном становлении малочисленных народов Севера существует острая необходимость сохранения традиционных навыков труда. Повышение эффективности и качества профессионального образования позволяет выпускникам делать правильный выбор будущей специальности. Внедрение современных технологий в учебный процесс оказывает положительное влияние на коммуникативные навыки и адаптацию молодых выпускников. Одним из современных нововведений является проект «ArcticSkills». Он способствует постепенному переходу к новому технологическому укладу. На основе данного проекта был проведен исследовательский чемпионат. Он позволил изучить возможности совершенствования профессионально - ориентационной политики и компетенции молодых специалистов. Все рассмотренные компетенции являются ключевыми факторами для эффективной социализации и профессионального становления. Также, в процессе «ArcticSkills» изучался уровень самоопределения выпускников северных школ. На чемпионате приняли участие более 50 представителей малочисленных коренных народов. Каждый из участников проявил активную позицию в стремлении стать ключевой ячейкой государства. Результаты исследования доказали актуальность «ArcticSkills» для народов Крайнего Севера, обучающихся в России.
