Summary:Reindeer husbandry of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District is the economic basis for the vital activities of the indigenous peoples of the North leading a nomadic way of life. It is an essential element of the nutrition of the rural population and the resource basis of enterprises for the processing of reindeer products. The challenges of recent years have revealed a number of acute problems of reindeer husbandry and threats to the indigenous peoples connected with the industry, which led to research aimed at providing scientific support for the development of the concept of reindeer preservation in Tazovsky and Yamalsky regions of the district. The research allowed developing the basic elements (scientifically-based provisions) of the concept of tundra reindeer husbandry in Tazovsky and Yamalsky regions of the Yamal-Nenets Autonomous District. : Северное оленеводство Ямало-Ненецкого автономного округа составляет экономическую основу жизнедеятельности коренных малочисленных народов Севера, ведущих кочевой образ жизни, является необходимым элементом питания сельского населения, ресурсной основой предприятий по переработке продукции оленеводства. Вызовы последних лет выявили ряд острых проблем северного оленеводства и угроз для связанного с отраслью коренного населения, что обусловило проведение исследований, направленных на научное обеспечение разработки концепции и стратегии сохранения оленеводства в Тазовском и Ямальском районах региона. Проведенные исследования позволили разработать основные элементы (научно обоснованные положения) концепции тундрового оленеводства в Тазовском и Ямальском районах Ямало-Ненецкого автономного округа. : №1(102) (2019)
