Description
Summary:This high-resolution gridded bathymetry data set was acquired with a Reson SeaBat 7125 Multibeam sonar system in 2017 on MBARI Mapping AUV mission 20170910m1. The file is in GeoTIFF image format, is projected in UTM coordinates (Zone 8N), and was processed using the open-source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software. The grid has 4-meter horizontal resolution. The AUV survey mission was conducted during the 2017 KOPRI R/V Araon cruise ARA08C in the Beaufort Sea (Cruise Chief Scientist - Young Keun Jin, KOPRI; project PI - Charlie Paull and investigators: David Caress and Eve Lundsten, MBARI). Data were acquired as part of a collaborative research project between MBARI, KOPRI, the Geological Survey of Canada, and Department of Fisheries and Oceans Canada to understand slope stability. Funding for the AUV mapping was provided from the David and Lucile Packard Foundation.
