Description
Summary:This data set was acquired with a ship-based SeaBeam 2112 Multibeam Sonar system during Knorr expedition KN176-04 conducted in 2004 (Chief Scientist: Dr. Matthew Fowler). These data files are of MBSystem format and include Swath Bathymetry, Acoustic Backscatter, and Sidescan data and were processed by the GMRT Team using the open source MB-System multibeam sonar processing software as part of the GMRT Synthesis effort. These data are included in the GMRT Synthesis, version 2.0. Data were acquired as part of the project(s): Seismicity and Fluid Flow of the TAG Hydrothermal Mound - Leg III and Collaborative Research: Hydroacoustic Monitoring of Seismicity in the North Atlantic, and funding was provided by NSF grant(s): OCE01-37164 and OCE01-37329. ...
