Summary: | The present dataset includes measurements of feldspar luminescence dating using the protocol of post-infrared stimulated luminescence signal measured at 290ºC, grain size distribution determinations using laser-diffraction, organic matter and calcium carbonate contents measured through loss on ignition, and isotopic (Nd and Sr) analyses using a Thermal Ionization Multicollector Mass Spectrometer on three loess sections (Lozada, 31.65°S; 64.13°W; Tortugas, 32.72°S; 61.80°W; and Gorina, 34.90°S; 58.02°W) across the Pampean Plain. Bulk densities and mass accumulation rate estimations for the three loess sections are included in this dataset. Additionally, a compilation of potential source areas of dust to the East Antarctic Plateau, and a compilation of paleo precipitation proxy records of southern South America are presented. Finally, the results from two isotope unmixing models analyzing the dust contributions of the potential source areas to the Pampean loess and the East Antarctic Plateau are also included ... |
