Sedimentological and geochemical investigations of samples from a continuous Pliocene to Pleistocene lacustrine section on the northern Tibetan plateau ...

Here we present carbonate content (%CaCO3) and carbonate stable isotopes including Δ47, as well as grain size and a suite of organic proxies including total nitrogen (TN), total organic carbon (TOC), carbon to nitrogen ratios (C/N), and carbon isotope ratios in organic matter (δ13Corg) obtained from...

Description
Summary:Here we present carbonate content (%CaCO3) and carbonate stable isotopes including Δ47, as well as grain size and a suite of organic proxies including total nitrogen (TN), total organic carbon (TOC), carbon to nitrogen ratios (C/N), and carbon isotope ratios in organic matter (δ13Corg) obtained from a continuous Pliocene to Pleistocene (from 4.3 Ma to 0.8 Ma) lacustrine record from the Kunlun Pass (KP) site (35°39’N, 94°03’E), northern Tibetan plateau. We further provide 1) cross plots of δ18Oc and ∆47-based temperature and calculation relates to lake temperature-mean annual air temperature transfer as well as surface uplift, 2) The temperature-∆47 calibration comparison, 3) Permafrost thaw and carbon loss calculation. ...
