| Summary: | The article discusses the typological features of traditional Dolgan clothing. Despite the unique basis of Dolgan clothing and the Dolgan culture in general, some additional layers of various ethnic traditions are quite clearly traced in it. As the undertaken comparative analysis shows, the archaic elements of traditional Dolgan clothing are closely related to the ancient Tungus tradition. The closest typological and creativecorrespondences are found between traditional Dolgan and Even clothing. The presence of archaic Tungus elements in the traditional Dolgan clothing is largely connected with the ancient ethnogenetic ties of the Dolgan ancestors with the Tungus population. This article is only an attempt to address such a profound problem of a comparative study of the typological features of the traditional clothing of the peoples of the North, which has not been thoroughly studied. |
