MassIVE MSV000088247 - Environmental contaminants effects on the sperm proteome of rat : The data presented here is a proteomic comparative study using isobaric tag relative and absolute quantitation (iTRAQ 8plex) labelling and LC-MS/MS in a multigenerational rat model to identify changes in protein expression across three generations due to paternal exposure to Persistent Organic Pollutants (POPs) of the type found in the Canadian arctic. The samples correspond to whole spermatozoon protein extracts from F1, F2 and F3 generations of rat exposed or not to POPs (pool of 8 rats per sample). Each sample was trypsin digested, labeled with a different isobaric tag and combined prior to fractionation by High pH chromatography. 14 fractions were collected and analyzed by LC-MSMS in DDA mode on a 5600 Triple TOF instrument (14 wiff files). Quantication analysis was performed using ProteinPilot software.
