The mooring observatory is located on the southern flank of Hanna Shoal, 70 miles offshore, at 71.6 °N and 161.5 °W. The parameters measured and presented in the files include fluxes of total particulate matter (TPM), particulate organic carbon (POC), chlorophyll a (Chl a), fecal pellet carbon (FPC), diatoms, copepods and copepod nauplii, and meroplankton.
