Description
Summary:This data set contains stable carbon isotope values of dissolved inorganic carbon from pore water in sea ice, as well as IP25 and brassicasterol data, from sea ice and open water particulate organic matter, sediments, and benthic consumers in the Arctic, Chukchi, and Beaufort seas. We quantified the sea ice algal biomarker IP25 and the phytoplankton biomarker brassicasterol in ice-associated particulate organic matter (iPOM), open water particulate organic matter (pPOM), surface sediments, and various benthic invertebrates to determine the fate of iPOM in the Chukchi and Beaufort seas. All samples were collected July - August 2012, October - November 2013, and May - June in 2014.
