В статье рассмотрена таможенная служба в Вологде накануне петровских реформ. Вологда была крупным торговым центром России, стоявшим на Сухоно-Двинском речном пути. В центре внимания — деятельность торговых людей, отца и сына Вавилы и Ивана Комаровых. В разное время они являлись таможенными и кабацкими головами города. Комаров-младший был включен в гостиную сотню. В Приложении публикуется документ о деятельности Ивана Комарова на посту таможенного головы в 1692г. : The article deals with the customs service in Vologda on the eve of the Peter's the Great reforms. Vologda was large trading center of Russia, standing on Sukhono-Dvina River way. The activities of trade people, father and son Vavila and Ivan Komarovs, are in the focus of the author attention. One time or another they took places of customs elders and heads of taverns (kabatskii elders) of the Vologda town. Later Komarov-son was included to the privileged corporation, he became merchant of “Guest Hundred” (Gostinaya Sotnya). The appendixes to the article contain the publication of the document on the activities of Ivan Komarov as the head of customs office in 1692.
