Description
Summary:ICESat-2 is a mission of NASA's Earth Observation program, launched in 2018, and equipped with a laser altimeter for high-precision measurement of sea level, ice pack and glacier variations. Buzzanga et al, 2021 highlighted the potential for ICESat-2 to contribute to the existing observations of sea level, notably in coastal areas. A study, performed in the context of DUACS Sea Level multimission products confirms these results. An analysis of Icesat-2 ATL12 quality has been carried. After homogenization of the geophysical correction (DT2021 standard), comparisons have been performed with DUACS along-track and gridded products, in terms of data availability, bias and large-scale differences, small scales features, both in open ocean and coastal areas. Data from the CRYO2ICE campaign were used, allowing unprecedented comparisons between radar and lidar measurements at nearly the same time and location. Finally, Icesat-2, has been used to assess FES22 tide model the 0-2 km confirming the good performance of ...
