Summary:The dataset contains .csv files of answers to one online Public Participation Geographical Information Systems (PPGIS) survey and a Read me file as a .pdf. The data contains survey answers to structured and open-ended questions as well as answers in a form of map markings with a corresponding x- and y-coordinates that can be utilized and analysed in a geographical information system software. The dataset was collected from two communities using a Maptionnaire online mapping survey platform. The data has been anonymized. Data of the Finnish case study community, Savukoski: Survey respondents are residents and people familiar with the Savukoski municipality in Finland (respondents include people with various livelihoods and relationship to the local environment); dataset collected during February-May 2022; in total 107 respondents. 78 respondents answered the PPGIS survey online by themselves without any facilitation from researcher.
