Description
Summary:The CTD data was obtained during LEG 00 of the 2002 CASES scientific cruise #0202. This Leg was carried out from September 20th 2002 to October 17th 2002 aboard the CCGS Pierre Radisson. There were 138 CTD casts in Leg 0. One hundred and thirty-six casts, associated to 107 oceanographic stations, are located in the Beaufort Sea research area. The following parameters were measured: temperature, conductivity and pressure (with a Sea-Bird 911 probe), oxygen (Sea-Bird 43), fluorescence (Seapoint fluorometer), transmittance (Wetlabs C-Star transmissometer). Data were quality controlled. Data are available on the Polar Data Catalogue and at the Marine Environmental Data Service (MEDS) of Fisheries and Ocean Canada. : Purpose: The physical data are one of the tools used to characterize the water masses and in some extend the water circulation in the Beaufort Sea. : Summary: Not Applicable
