Summary: | This dataset represents a compilation of total suspended solid (TSS) concentrations (in mg/L) and watershed yields (in mg/s/km2) for streams draining watersheds that are, and are not, affected by permafrost thaw slumps on the Peel Plateau, Northwest Territories, Canada. Data were compiled to contribute to a figure in the following manuscript: SV Kokelj, J Kokoszka, J van der Sluijs, ACA Rudy, J Tunnicliffe, S Shakil, S Tank, and S Zolkos. Slope thermokarst transforms permafrost preserved glacial landscapes and effects propagate through Arctic drainage networks. In preparation for submission to Cryosphere Discussions. These data show differences in TSS yields between watersheds that are, and are not, affected by permafrost thaw-enabled slumping in the western Canadian Arctic. Collection dates and site information are provided with the dataset. ... |
