Description
Summary:As part of the Overturning in the Nordic Seas project, physical oceanography data were collected during the cruise HM2016618 on R/V Håkon Mosby in August 2016. The goal was to to study ocean currents and water transformation processes in the Iceland Sea in the western Nordic Seas. This data set is a compilation of data from the shipboard conductivity-temperature-depth (CTD) system, the lowered-ADCP (acoustic Doppler current profiler) LADCP system and the ship’s hull-mounted ADCP (SADCP), provided as three separate NetCDF files: HM2016618_CTD.nc: 160 profiles of salinity, temperature, and dissolved oxygen using ship’s CTD system. The salinity and dissolved oxygen profiles were calibrated using in-situ water samples. HM2016618_LADCP.nc : 152 profiles of horizontal currents from the lowered-ADCP (LADCP) system attached on the CTD rosette. HM2016618_SADCP.nc: 15.3 days of 3-minute time-averaged horizontal current profiles from the 75 kHz hull-mounted RDI Ocean Surveyor ADCP (SADCP). ...
