Summary: | Data provide a synthesis of peer-reviewed dissolved phase seawater measurements of polychlorinated biphenyl (PCB) concentrations. Data span the time period between 1999 and 2013 and are useful for benchmarking and evaluating model simulations. These data were compiled as part of an NSF funded project that aimed to investigate how changing global emissions and climate are affecting persistent organic pollutants in the Arctic. Citations to the original data sources are provided in the text file. Observations include both surface water measurements and vertical profiles. Data provided indicate total PCB concentration ('Tot'), filter passing PCB ('Aq') and filtered PCB ('Part'). |
