Gulf of Alaska Regional Oceanic Model System - Carbon, Ocean Biogeochemistry and Lower Trophic (ROMS-COBALT) hindcast model output at monthly and daily resolution for the time spanning 1980 to 2013. The simulation was conducted by Katherine Hedstrom at the University of Alaska Fairbanks Research Computing Systems, Fairbanks, Alaska, United States of America (USA) in 2019, at horizontal resolution of 4.5 kilometers (km). The model set up has been developed and the hindcast simulation conducted as part of National Science Foundation OCE Grant #1459834. Available variables include e.g. salinity, temperature, inorganic carbon and nutrients, Chla etc. The simulation was conducted to get a better understanding of the complex interplay of mechanisms that drive aragonite undersaturation in this region and to study the rate of change of pH and aragonite saturation state since 1980.
