Description
Summary:Snow Depth at each Arctic System Science (ARCSS) grid point was taken on May 26, 2010 in Barrow, Alaska. Each measurement was taken 1 meter to the south of each grid point. 3 measurements were taken at each grid marker and are labeled #1, #2, and #3. The long depth probe from the Systems Ecology Lab (SEL) at the University of Texas El Paso was used (orange tape on the handle). Data have been corrected by subtracting 3cm from measurements made in the field to account for the missing tip of the probe. ARCSS grid coordinates are labelled A thru K and 1 thru 11 for each N-S and E-W row of markers respectively. A11 is in the northwest corner of the grid and K11 is in the southeast corner of the grid.
