Langsiktige variasjoner av havnivået i Nordiske hav, 2009

For our studies we have used the following data which do not need extensive pre-processing: 1. Mean monthly and annual sea level data of the 19 stations (Andenes, Bergen, Bodø, Hammerfest, Harstad, Heimsjø, Honnongsvåg, Kabelvåg, Kristiansund, Måløy, Narvik, Ny-Ålesund, Rørvik, Stavanger, Tregde, Tr...

Description
Summary:For our studies we have used the following data which do not need extensive pre-processing: 1. Mean monthly and annual sea level data of the 19 stations (Andenes, Bergen, Bodø, Hammerfest, Harstad, Heimsjø, Honnongsvåg, Kabelvåg, Kristiansund, Måløy, Narvik, Ny-Ålesund, Rørvik, Stavanger, Tregde, Tromsø, Trondheim, Vardø and Ålesund), which are currently available from Norwegian archive (Norwegian Hydrographic Serves) () 2. Mean monthly and annual sea level data of the 3 stations (Barentsburg, Murmansk and Malye Karmakuly) which are currently available from the international data centre Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL) (). The other part of the data, historical records from the tide gauge stations of the former Soviet Union and Russia, is not available in the international databases and was not previously accessible for the analysis. The periods of observation from the tide gauge stations in the Nordic Seas are very different. Many stations have started sea level records during the 1950s-1970s, and some of them in the 1980s-1990s. Sea level observations at the Norwegian tide gauge stations continue on the regular basis until present, but data collection from some stations of the former Soviet Union was stopped in the1980s-1990s. We have provided previously unavailable data from our data set to the international data centre Permanent Service for Mean Sea Level (PSMSL http://www.psmsl.org/), making it available for the whole scientific community. Stations: Bely Nos, Bolvansky Nos, Burgino, Linakhamari, Pikshuev, Polyarniy and Teriberka. Collected in framework of the project historical data was also kept at the NPI (www.npolar.no ) and AARI (www.aari.nw.ru ).
